The YBPS Scholarship Committee has developed a program
of scholarships geared toward providing educational opportunities
for Barbadians and Caribbean Nationals whether living in
their home countries or in the USA. We are convinced that
investing in the Caribbean's human resource represents the
most strategic plan for facilitating the Caribbean Regions'
growth potential.
Successive generations of Caribbean Nationals have always
attached the highest priority to the acquisition of a higher
education. The YBPS Scholarship program, in many ways, represents
an acknowledgment and endorsement of this fine West Indian
tradition.
The scholarships, which are based on academic excellence,
are open to undergraduate students who are entering university,
college or polytechnic for the first time (first degree).
Recipients may use the scholarship to cover the costs of
tuition, fees, books, room and board, computers, health
insurance, general living expenses and other college-related
expenses.
