There are myriad factors that make up who Shamika Edwards really is. A nineteen year old Ithaca College sophomore, she is Trinidadian by birth and Barbadian and Antiguan by descent. The second child of four she has an older sister who is an Ithaca College junior with majors in Biochemistry and French, and a younger brother and sister who are both at Harrison College, her alma mater.

One thing that life has taught her is that if you don't know where you are going, you won't know when you get there. She intends, after completing 5 years at Ithaca College to hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and an MBA.
