On Saturday, October 22nd, 2011, the YBPS celebrated in grand style at our Inaugural Masquerade Ball. The festive event was hosted in a penthouse in New Rochelle, NY overlooking the panoramic NYC skyline. The event was a tremendous success and by far the most colorful event we have ever produced - it was a splendid display of vibrant and creative masks. More importantly it was a party with a purpose, as all proceeds benefit the YBPS Scholarship Fund.

Also on that night, we were delighted to honor Jan P. Franklin as the YBPS 2010-2011 Member of the Year and acknowledge her for her outstanding five year tenure as YBPS Treasurer.

We would like to wholeheartedly thank everyone who contributed to the event's success especially those who attended, made donations and purchased raffle tickets. Congratulations are extended to our raffle winner as follows: 1st Prize - $250 Beaula Sigiri; 2nd Prize - $100 Tracey Cumberbatch; 3rd Prize - $50 Verna Grant.

We also congratulate Ms. Linda Gadsby, Esq. and Mr. Christopher Parris who were awarded Best Female and Male Mask respectively. Our Celebrity Judges were Christopher Hunte of Christopher Hunte Couture and the delightful Toni Norville who also graced us with two entertaining selections.
